Some of the common instruments used are Multi-layer processing machines, Hot Pressing 350 Ton M/C with 6 Opening, Registration Bonding Machine, Target Hole Drilling Machine CCD Type, Orbotech 1450 AOI with Repair Station, Automatic Brown Oxide Treatment Line, Acidic Etching line, prepare cutter, copper foil cutter, cold pressing M/C, Drilling section, Shearing Machine, CNC drilling machine, compressor with Dryer, stack master and the central dust collection system.
Detail of all the instruments is given as below,
- Hot Pressing 350 Ton M/C with 6 Opening
Hot pressing 350 Ton M/C Machine is employed in order to engage the copper layer with the surface of the printed circuit board. It is also used to strengthen the solder paste applied during the assembly process in order to keep the components firmly in their place.
- Registration Bonding Machine
Registration bonding machines are used in order to make the preparation of multi layer printed circuit boards easier. It helps bond the layers of the multi layer PCB together. High quality machines are used at SynergisePCB while dealing with the multi layer printed circuit board.
- Target Hole Drilling Machine (CCD Type)
The drilling process requires extreme accuracy and precision in the development of the printed circuit board. Any disparity in the drilling of holes can cause severe faults in the printed circuit board (PCB) and the operation of the device it is supposed to be used in. In order to achieve high levels of accuracy in the drilling process, target hole drilling machines are used at SynergisePCB for the drilling process.
- Orbotech 1450 AOI with Repair Station
The standard technique of inspection of the PCB assembly is the automatic optical inspection which is done with the help of AOI machine. The AOI machine makes use of high resolution cameras to check the PCB for faults in design and assembly. It also checks for defects in the tracks and the soldering on the board. At synergise PCB we use Orbotech 1450 AOI with Repair Station which not only detects the drilling faults on the PCB but comes with a repair station, in order to repair the faults.
- Placing of the Components (SMT)
After the application of solder paste to the surface of the PCB has been completed, the board moves to the pick and place machine where the components are placed by the machine to their designated places. The surface mount technology is used here which has replaced the manual method of placing the surface mount components (non connector type components) with the help of tweezers. The machine moves and directs the Printed Circuit Boards to help the process of components to their designated positions.
- Automatic Brown Oxide Treatment Line
Automatic Brown Oxide Treatment Line is used in order to improve the adhesion of the copper on the surface of the printed circuit board. It also strengthens the moisture attack resistance of the copper layer which runs the risk of being deteriorated by the oxidation attack.
